Cabin Classes

Economy

Economy cabins contain slimline seats with built in lumbar support and a personal telephone (charges apply). A soft blanket, cotton pillow and amenities kit are provided. A selection of warm meals, snacks and drinks are served onboard based around the time of day. Entertainment on B747-400 and A330-300 aircraft includes seat back 6.4 inch screens, video on demand control and a wide selection of programs, CDs and games.

Premium Economy

Premium Economy cabins contain reclinable seats designed by Marc Newson that feature an adjustable foot rest, centre console and personal telephone (charges apply). A soft blanket, large pillow, noise cancelling headphones and amenities kit are provided. Snacks and light meals are available along with a Neil Perry inspired menu. Premium Economy passengers also receive a complimentary glass of Sparkling Wine before take-off. On-board entertainment includes an 8.4 inch in-arm digital touch screen, video on demand control and a wide selection of programs, CDs and games.

Business Class

Business Class cabins on international A380, A330 and B747 aircraft feature the reclining Skybeds. These beds include numerous features including a laptop power outlet, back massage and personal telephone (charges apply). Business Class offers varying menu options created by celebrity Chef Neil Perry along with a premium beverage menu. Entertainment on B747-400 and A330-300 aircraft include seat back 10.4 inch touch screens, video on demand control and a wide selection of programs, CDs and games.

First Class

First Class cabins on A380 contain private suites offering flat beds, in-seat massage functions, fold out cocktail table and storage facilities. On B747-400 aircraft, cabins contain fully reclinable Sleeper beds. A bedding service and amenity kits by Payot Paris are provided. Snacks and light meals are available along with a menu created by Neil Perry, prepared onboard and made to order. Some flights also offer an 8-course tasting menu. Standard beverages, prestige wines, and freshly made cappuccinos are also available. First Class entertainment features a 17 inch touch screen, a video on demand control and a wide selection of programs, CDs and games.

Baggage

Economy passengers are allowed 1 piece of 7kg hand luggage, 2 pieces of 23kg (each) checked baggage when flying to The Americas and 1 piece of 23kg checked baggage for all other destinations. Premium Economy passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 7kg (total) hand luggage, 2 pieces of 23kg (each) checked baggage when flying to The Americas and 1 piece of 23kg checked baggage for all other destinations. Business passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 7kg (total) hand luggage, 2 pieces of 32kg (each) checked baggage when flying to The Americas and 1 piece of 32kg checked baggage for all other destinations. First Class passengers are allowed 2 pieces of 7kg (total) hand luggage, 2 pieces of 32kg (each) checked baggage when flying to The Americas and 1 piece of 40kg checked baggage for all other destinations.

Check-in Options

Qantas now offers online check-in from 24 hours until 2 hours before departure time for all Qantas international bookings. Economy and Premium Economy passengers can check-in at the airport up until 90 minutes before departure time at the Qantas Kiosk. First Class and Business Class passengers may check-in up until 60 minutes prior to flight departure.

Rewards Program

The Qantas Frequent Flyer rewards program allows members to earn points when they fly with Qantas or shop with their partners. Accumulated points can be used to purchase items at the Frequent Flyer online store or for flights and seat upgrades.

Lounges

The Marc Newson designed First Lounges at Sydney and Melbourne international airports feature spa treatment rooms, showers, library, business facilities, a concierge service and a restaurant with menus created by Neil Perry. Most international and domestic ports have a Lounge available for all Business Class and First Class travellers. Qantas also operates a domestic airline.
